The new, full-size, pure-electric E-Transit arrives from mid-2022, featuring a 68kWh battery, a driving range of up to 317km, and fast-charging capability from 15 per cent to 80 per cent in around 34 minutes.. After half a century as the world’s best-selling van, Transit continues to lead the charge.

Increased power

With an estimated driving range of up to 317km1, E-Transit is perfect for urban environments and fixed drive routes. The peak output of 198kW and 430Nm of torque actually makes it the most powerful Transit currently available. Plus, E-Transit’s drive modes are tailored to the electric drive train, with a special Eco Mode that aims to provide an 8-10% improvement in energy usage, maximising driving range.

Uncompromised capability

The E-Transit’s intelligently designed battery sits underneath the main body of the electric van to maximise room. This allows for cargo capacity of up to 12.4 cubic metres, identical to that of its full-size diesel counterpart. The E-Transit has a gross vehicle mass of up to 4.2 tonnes, with a targeted payload of 1,616 kg.

Fast charging

E-Transit features both AC charging and DC fast-charging. The on-board 11.3kW charger delivers a 100 per cent charge in a little over 8 hours. Using a 115kW high-power DC fast-charger, E-Transit can top-up the battery from 15 per cent to 80 per cent in around 34 minutes.

Towards zero

Many businesses are looking to make the switch to electrified vehicles, spurred by strong interest from consumers and growing government support. E-Transit will help fleet customers, especially, on their road to net zero, lowering their carbon footprint through cleaner logistic solutions.

Affordable ownership

Switching to an electric van lets your business take advantage of lower vehicle running costs. Plus, the E-Transit is covered by a 5 Year/Unlimited Kilometre Ford Express New Vehicle warranty.

Globally, Ford plans to invest more than $30 billion cumulatively through 2025 to electrify our vehicles, making big changes so the company can be carbon neutral by 2050. In Australia, we plan to introduce at least 5 electrified vehicles by the end of 2024, while equipping and training many of the dealers in readiness for the first vehicles to arrive.
